“Panty and Stocking” is what American animation would be without the FCC
NSFW if the sounds of a girl having sex throughout the trailer is something your co-workers wouldn’t want.
This is what we get America. This is what happens when we have an entire generation of youth become obsessed with Japanese culture. You ever let someone share drinks from a 2 liter of soda? And you both just take swigs from it? You let that person drink enough of it, you know you’re going to be getting a good deal of their backwash. It’s just what happens in the transfer process.
Panty and Stockings with Garterbelt is the backwash Japanese people now deal with. This analogy only works if you think backwash is delicious.
Here’s how the trade works:
American animation influenced by Japan.
Japanese animation influenced by America.
Which one you prefer says a lot about how much sex you want in your cartoons.
Granted my only evidence is that one of the female characters is white and takes her underwear off constantly (every American woman, am I right fellas?) and that the dog, Chuck is so blatantly “Gir” from Invader Zim that it’s a homage, not a ripoff (Invader Zim creator Jhonen Vasquez’s tweet about the nod). Can I just assume the black character, Garterbelt will be Samuel L. Jackson?
This is the best sign of our nation’s rise to dominance again. Not fiscal security, not good international relations…just influencing little kids around the world. Our media does saturate pretty much every corner of the globe, but it’s nice to see animation get some more respect.
Even if thousands of animation jobs are outsourced overseas to cheaper Korean studios, at least kids in Tokyo will be raised on American values: violence, sex, and cursing.

Jesus Christ man, you sound old. The show is good on its own merits, just because it’s raunchy doesn’t mean it’s gotta be shunned. The amount of people who only reference the show by pointing at it and saying “LOOK AT THIS WE’RE KILLING JAPAN :CCCCC” is fuckin ridiculous.
